MY CHAPTER
Family circleWe took a blanket down to the water after dinner. Nobody needed to be anywhere else for an hour. I looked at these three faces and wished I could make the evening last a little longer.
Only meI wrote a private list: the Sunday pancakes, the bad jokes in the car, the way we stayed for one more story. I don't need every day to be remarkable. I hope the ordinary ones add up to something warm.
Family circleI asked for a rule clarification and received three different answers. By the end, we had written our own house rules. They were fair, according to the person currently winning.
