Took the long way to the Oregon coast. Added an hour to the drive and about a hundred photos to my phone. Sand in the car, snacks everywhere, zero regrets. 🌊

Twenty-three years married today. The kids opened a restaurant in our dining room, made a handwritten menu, and told us we had to dress up. Best reservation I’ve ever made. Happy anniversary, my love. ❤️

Months of hearing the same guitar chords through a bedroom door, and today we got to hear the whole song on stage. So proud of our boy for sticking with it. That last note earned a very loud dad clap. 🎸

The old family cookie recipe says “bake until ready.” We have now added an actual number of minutes. The children are in charge of shapes; I am head of quality control. A demanding role, but somebody has to do it. 🍪
